Milcarsky's Appliance Protection
Most appliance failures do not happen in year one. They happen in years three through eight, once the manufacturer has stopped paying and a single control board can cost more than a family vacation.
Takes about a minute. No obligation, and no technician visit required to enroll.
Warranty plans start at
$75.99
Depends on the appliance and whether you choose 3 or 5 years.
Check your own order
Enter the order number from your Milcarsky's invoice and the last name on the order. We will show you what you bought and exactly what a plan costs for each item.
Your payment has been received and your appliances are now registered for coverage. Your plan documents will be emailed to you once the registration completes. Your coverage dates are set from your original purchase, so you are protected from today regardless of when the paperwork lands.
Keep this page's confirmation for your records. If you have not received your documents and would like an update, call us on (407) 830-6800 and we will check on it for you.
The coverage gap
A factory warranty is a manufacturing defect policy. It is designed to cover the period when a fault would be the factory's fault. It is not designed to cover the years when parts genuinely start to wear, which is exactly when repairs get costly.
Defects in materials and workmanship are covered. Failures in this window are rare, because genuinely defective units usually fail early.
Wear-related failures cluster here. Compressors, control boards, inverters, sealed systems and electronics all begin to fail in this window.
Know your actual end date
Coverage varies far more than most owners expect, and the headline number is rarely the whole story. Several brands drop from full coverage to parts only, which leaves you paying the labor. On a built-in unit, labor is usually the larger half of the bill.
| Brand | Full parts and labor | Longer, but limited | Fully exposed from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sub-Zero | 2 years, entire product | 5 years sealed system, parts and labor. Years 6 to 12 sealed system, parts only, you pay labor | Year 3 |
| Wolf | 2 years, entire product | 5 years on burners, heating elements, blower motors, control boards, magnetron tubes and induction generators, parts only | Year 3 |
| Thermador | 2 years, most categories | Sealed system commonly 2 to 5 years, varies by model | Year 3 |
| Miele | 2 years, parts and labor | Model specific extensions | Year 3 |
| Bosch | 1 year, parts and labor | Selected parts up to 5 years | Year 2 |
| GE & GE Profile | 1 year, parts and labor | Café and Profile refrigeration system to 5 years | Year 2 |
| Samsung | 1 year, parts and labor | 5 years sealed system, 10 years digital inverter compressor, parts only | Year 2 |
Terms summarized from each manufacturer's published residential warranty as of August 2026. Coverage varies by model, category and installation date, and every one of these programs requires factory certified service to stay valid. Check the documents that came with your unit, or call us and we will look it up with you.

These are current market ranges for the failures we see most often. On premium built-in equipment, the top of each range is the realistic number, not the exception.
Control board
$400 to $750
Typical replacement, installed. On built-in luxury refrigeration the board alone can run near $800 before anyone touches labor.
Compressor
$300 to $800
The part most owners assume is covered forever. On most brands, labor stops being covered years before the part does.
Sealed system
$1,400 to $2,800
A full sealed system repair involving the compressor. This is the bill that makes people replace a working refrigerator.
Just to diagnose
$65 to $109
Charged before a single repair is authorized, and charged again for each separate appliance in the house.
Ranges reflect published 2026 national repair cost data. Actual pricing depends on brand, model, part availability and access. Built-in and panel-ready units run higher than freestanding because of the labor involved in pulling and reinstalling them.
One sealed system repair costs more than a plan. Find out what yours would be.
Request my coverage quoteWhy this keeps getting worse
The appliance your parents owned was mechanical. A timer, a motor, a thermostat. A competent technician could fix it with common parts. Today's equipment is a networked computer that happens to keep food cold, and that changes the economics of every repair.
The plan
Coverage begins once the first year of your manufacturer's warranty is over, so on most brands there is no gap, and on the two year brands you are simply covered twice over.
The full cost of the repair, not a contribution toward it. Labor is the half that most limited warranties drop first, and it is the larger half on a built-in unit.
Compressors, sealed systems, control boards, motors and the internal mechanical failures that turn into four figure decisions.
When a covered appliance cannot be repaired, you receive a check for its current market value. You are not left with a dead unit and a denied claim.
A claim does not end your protection. Coverage runs to the end of your term, up to a total equal to what you originally paid for the appliance.
Remaining coverage moves to the new owner for a small transfer fee, which makes it worth something when you sell the house or the appliance.
You call us. We open the claim and a local authorized technician comes to your home. No brand phone trees, no service network you have never dealt with.
Covered appliances
Refrigerators, freezers and ice makers. Ranges, cooktops, ovens and vent hoods. Dishwashers and trash compactors. Washing machines and dryers. Plus air conditioners, portable heaters, humidifiers and grills.

It takes about a minute, and there is no obligation.
Request my coverage quoteCommon questions
Not necessarily, and that is exactly who this page is for. Call us with your model and purchase date and we will confirm eligibility in a few minutes. What you cannot do is wait until something breaks. Once a unit has a fault it is no longer eligible, the same as any other form of coverage.
Coverage begins once the first year of your manufacturer's warranty is over. If your brand only gives one year, protection picks up the moment the factory steps away. If your brand gives two years, you are covered by both for that second year, which means there is never a window where you are exposed.
Premium equipment is generally built better, and it also costs substantially more to repair. A control board on built-in luxury refrigeration is a several hundred dollar part before labor, and built-in units take longer to service because they have to be pulled and reinstalled. Better engineering lowers how often you need a repair. It raises what each one costs.
That is a reasonable strategy if you are comfortable absorbing a single four figure bill without notice. A sealed system repair can run $1,400 to $2,800. The plan turns an unpredictable expense into a known one, which is the entire point of it.
You receive a check for the current market value of the appliance. Coverage also continues after a repair rather than ending with your first claim, up to a lifetime total equal to what you originally paid for the unit.
No. Home warranty companies cover a whole house at a shallow level, send whichever contractor is available, and frequently cap payouts per appliance. This is appliance specific coverage arranged through the dealer that sold and services your equipment, using authorized technicians.
The standard plan covers mechanical and electrical failure, not damage. It excludes physical or accidental damage, routine maintenance, and the labor to remove, reinstall or unstack units. Lost and stolen appliances are not covered. Appliances in commercial use need a commercial plan rather than this one.
